Anything beyond this — more pages, an online shop, a booking system, a members area, a blog you update yourself — is quoted separately, in writing, before anything starts.
THE COST THAT ISN'T MINE
Your website runs on Wix — about $216 a year, paid directly to Wix, with your domain free for the first year. Business email is about $158 a year if you want one. I don't mark either up, and they'll both be in your quote so there are no surprises.
Tell me what you need it to do, and I'll tell you what it takes to build.
Every custom site is priced on what it actually involves, then fixed in writing before anything starts. Sites that take payments or bookings run on a higher Wix plan — from about $360 a year rather than $216 — and you'll have the exact number before you decide.
CUSTOM WEBSITES
If none of that fits your business, that's not a problem.
Plenty of businesses need something different, and that's fine. Tell me what yours has to do, and I'll build the site around that.
WHAT A CUSTOM SITE CAN DO
Sell online and take payments
Take bookings and appointments
Give customers a login or members area
Follow up with people automatically
Handle quotes and enquiries
Run a blog or news section
Grow past five pages
Connect to the tools you already use
Timelines are always quoted in business days from the point I have everything from you — never a calendar date I don't control. If a review window closes without a response, I'll nudge you once and then move on to the next project in the queue.
HOW IT WORKS
Eight steps, and what's expected of you in each.
01
ENQUIRY
You send the form or you call. I answer every enquiry within two business days, and I'll come back with a short set of questions about your business.
02
THE CALL
Forty-five minutes. I ask, you talk. You don't need to prepare anything, and there's no pitch at the end of it.
03
THE QUOTE
One page, with the price, what's included and what isn't. The full terms come as a separate document. It's good for 30 days.
04
THE DEPOSIT
The work starts when it clears. It's non-refundable, because it pays for writing that's already been done by the time you see it.
05
THE WORDS
I write your website and send it as a document to read and approve before anything is designed. Two rounds of changes, and five business days for the first one.
06
THE DESIGN
You see it built. Two rounds of changes here too — five business days for the first, three for the second. One consolidated list each round, not a trickle of emails.
07
LAUNCH
Domain connected, business email working, Google Business Profile live. Final payment before it goes public.
08
HANDOVER
A recorded walkthrough you can rewatch, support for 30 days, and a check-in report 30 days after launch.
OWNERSHIP
Do I own my website?
Your domain is registered in your name and stays yours. Your business email is your own account. Your content and photos are yours. You get full access to edit your site and see every enquiry that comes in, and you can bring in another designer any time — they just need an invite.
The site itself stays in the JET47 studio workspace, which is how I can keep supporting it and step in when something breaks. If you ever want the site taken down, I'll do that straight away at no charge.
One honest limitation, and it's true of every Wix site: a Wix site can't be exported to a different platform. If you ever moved off Wix entirely, the site would need rebuilding. That's the trade-off for lower running costs and a site you can actually edit yourself.
